Information: The Cayenne chili pepper is one of the most common varieties of chili in the world and are best known for their spicy-hot, yet sweet flavor. Cayenne chilies typically grow long and thin upto 25cm long and are harvested when the chilies develop a waxy firm skin and are a dark red colour.
Measuring 30,000 - 50,000 on the Scoville Scale, Cayenne Chilies are commonly dried and crushed into the popular 'Cayenne Pepper' powder.
Germination & Care: Germination temperature is between 22°C and 28°C (germination period: 10-20 days). Plants should be placed in a sunny, protected place with a minimum of 6 hours direct sunlight per day. Move plants outdoors only when temperatures consistently stay above 12°C.
